The 2008 Yetis
APA Holiday Party & Gift Exchange
The 4th Annual APA/SD Holiday Party & Print Exchange will be at the studio again this year on Dec. 4th. We needed a visual for the E-Blast Invitation so I hauled the boys down to the studio on Sunday and had them create some Holiday Art. I had a vision the final looking like the second image of Max holding his print but they ended up using the first image. I've included some of the other "warm-up" images that I thought were pretty cool also....

Beach Portraits
These portraits were all shot with my "vintage" YashicaMat camera.
I love this old camera!
The process of creating images with film and the camera's soft and dreamy adapter lenses is a great change of pace from the digital world we all live and work in...

Camp Portraits
We went camping at Rock Creek Lake last week with some family friends.
I'd been experimenting doing some portraits with my YashicaMat 124G and the close-up add-on lens. So I decided to do some portraits of the 6 wild, mostly willing kids at the campsite over a 5 day period.
Day 1
Campsite in the evening.
Max - He's getting so used to being photographed that I swear he's mocking me half the time...
Nick - Not quite in the spirit yet...
Day 2
Campsite during the Cowboys & Indians break.
Claire - The Indian Chief with remnants of her war paint
Big Max - I'm not sure why he put his hand up to his chin. I didn't give him any instruction. I think he saw Sam do it and thought it was cool...
Nick
Sam - I think this is where Big Max got the idea.
Max
Day 4
Mono Creek trail.
Frank - Chapped face...
Nick - Finally in the spirit...
Sam
Max
Big Max - with a variation on the hand to the face....
Claire
Day 5
Campsite - Breakfast

The Cleaning Authority Shoot
Here's the time lapse video from The Cleaning Authority shoot with our 3 "Cleaners" and the PT Cruiser. The battery on my cool little Pentax W30 gave out in mid afternoon so we don't have the whole shoot, but we do have the fun part of getting the car on and off the set and moving it around. Enjoy!
